The aim of this unit is to develop the learner’s understanding of the operational elements of clinical pharmacy services.
This unit focuses on the principles of law, ethics and local and national guidelines used to support service delivery in clinical practice. It also aims to reflect on operational management skills and introduce the learner to quality management by applying standards to work practices.

Describe your own local workplace protocols and practices for your chosen clinical pharmacy service in conjunction with the national guidelines, policies or frameworks selected. Analyse the impact of clinical governance on your own clinical pharmacy service provision.
Evaluate the impact of the chosen service and how effective your organisational procedures are, and recommend areas for improvement in relation to your chosen clinical pharmacy service.
Include supporting visual information in your assignment, for example tables, diagrams, graphs or clinical pictures.
