Week 6 – Final Presentation
You are a consultant for a health care facility in your state (Alabama). You are known for o Ensuring that organizations comply with federal and state regulations. o Supporting internal and external staff and training them on new procedures or technologies as needed.
o Anticipating future trends in health informatics, including technology requirements. o Communicating new information to multiple levels of an organization, including those outside of the IT department, such as doctors and nurses.
The leaders at the facility have requested your help in creating data management strategies for one of the ethical cases that has appeared on the news. The leaders want to be proactive in preventing any issues that may arise.
Instructions Part 1—Ethics Matrix
Complete the following:
o Research an ethical case that has occurred in the last two or three years. o Complete the ethics matrix in the case.
o Use the Week 6 Final Presentation Template to complete this portion of the Presentation. Part 2—Summary Document Complete the following:
• Compile a summary document within the Week 6 Final Template. You will use the following components for the video presentation you will create in Part 3:
o State the key points you will present. o Summarize the case you researched.
o Explain how business intelligence strategies could be used with health data governance. o Interpret how stakeholders could use big data models to make better financial and clinical decisions by the organization.
o Assess ethical, legal, and regulatory aspects of data management on consumer, organizational, local, state, national, and/or global levels.
o Support how information technology can affect the outcome of the case. o Recommend two to three strategies for preventing a similar case or ethics issue in the future.
o Justify your recommendations for resolving the case or preventing the ethics issue from occurring again. Part 3—Presentation
Complete the following:
• Create a presentation of 12 slides addressing the components of your summary document. o Use Microsoft PowerPoint or a presentation software of your choice.
• Create a 6-minute presentation addressing the points of your presentation to the main stakeholders of the organization.
Follow these presentation best practices:
• Use visuals that will keep your audience engaged and interested.
• Use a language that is appropriate in a business environment.
• Be concise and look professional! This is an executive-level strategy that could be presented to leaders
