 Assessment Task

In this assessment, you are required to review an existing health promotion program provided by your Learning Facilitator. Students are expected to utilize critical thinking skills to develop a report that demonstrates the ability to apply theory into practice.

Context

The objective of this assessment is to enhance students’ capacity to evaluate and appraise public health interventions by utilising their understanding of key health promotion principles and theories. This assessment will cultivate cognitive and critical thinking skills that are crucial for a career in public health. Acquiring critical analysis skills is essential for public health students to gain the ability to assess, analyse, and enhance the quality of public health programs in order to improve outcomes within the targeted populations. Program evaluation provides insights into an intervention’s effectiveness, relevance to the target population, and potential for enhancement.

It provides an opportunity for students to expand their understanding of health promotion programs through research and critical analysis.
