Overview
Theories help social workers better understand complex human behavior and social environments which influence client lives and issues. This assignment will illustrate how theory and practice go hand in hand and how theory can inform practice by providing direction and rationale for decision making.
Instructions
For this assignment, you will select a theoretical framework that can be combined with Shulman’s Interactional Theory Model (the model you are currently using) to guide your work with the Rodriquez family (from the Rodriquez Case Study).
The paper must be 3-5 pages in length and must include a title and reference page, not to be included in the page total, and must follow the current APA format.
Use the questions below as a guide for your paper.
a) Explain a bit about the theory (e.g., developers, its key concepts/tenets, logic, purpose, strategies, etc.) and the rationale behind your decision to use this theory to address the Rodriguez family issues. How does it complement the Interactional Theory Model?
